Derek Bard repeats as SDGA Player of the Year edgeing Eric Edmunds by 55 points results 8/19/11 This Sunday the SDGA Inter-district teams will be playing , Rochester and Buffalo teams at Caledonia CC Jr team members are Derek Bard , John Clare, Erik Davis, Josh Rathbun, Henry Sandlas V and Andy Leary the boys team members are Alec Bard, Mike May Jr, Danny Lapp, Christian Nizamis, Nate Miesner, and Nick Smith 8/5/11 On Monday 8/8/11 the Williamson Cup scores can be found by Clicking here go to the Williamson Cup page for pictures and result from the trip 8/3/11 Alec Bard shoots a 2 over 74 this morning to win the NYSGA Boys State Championship by 4 strokes. Chris Nizamis fires the low round of the morning even par 72 to finish 3rd and Mike May Jr ties for 6th Click here Alec also wins the SDGA Boys Player of the Year with his victory today. In the JR Div of the NYSGA Championship Aidan Fuller ties for 3rd and Josh Rathbun ties for 12th. With Josh's finish he completes the SDGA Williamson Team. The other members are John Clare, Erik Davis (third team) and Henry Sandlas V. This team will travel to Columbia CC in Chevy Chase, MD . The 36 hole stroke play tournament will be Monday 8/8/11. Go to Williamson page for past results 8/2/11 Alec Bard tied for 1st after shooting a 77 today at the NYSGA Boys Championship. Mike May Jr and Danny Lapp are tied for 6th. In the Jr's Aidan Fuller shoot a 74 for a tie for 2nd, Josh Rathbun shoots 78 and tied for 12th with the final round tomorrow. Click NYSGA above for all results 8/1/11 Last week Danny Lapp competed in the US Kids Teen World Championships in Pinehurst, NC and tie for 20th out of 135 in the 13 yr old age group. Results click here 7/28/11 Eric Edmunds wins the SDGA Jr Classic with his third sub par round ( 3 under 69 today at Cortland CC) to win by 17 shots over John Clare who's one under 71 was go for second place. Josh Rathbun had his first Hole in one today on the 12th hole 145 yd par three using a pitching wedge. For all Results go to Classic page. 7/12/11 Eric Edmunds beats 2010 District Champ Eric Davis 2&1 in this mornings Semi-Finals at Owasco CC then beats Co Medalist John Clare 1 up in the afternoon Final match. Josh Rathbun shots a 1 under 70. In the Boys Danny Lapp shots a 1 over 72 and Mike May Jr shot a 4 over 75 to lead the boys. Click here for todays Results 7/1/11 Derek Bard wins CNYPGA Championship and will Compete in the National Tournament in Illinois and also Qualifies for the USGA Jr Championships in late July 6/18/11 Jeff Baldetti shots a 3 under 70 and wins in a playoff yesterday at Cam illus CC to repeat as the Optimist Qualifier champ from the N. East region and earn another trip to Florida in late July. 2010 SDGA Jr Boys POY Michael McIntosh shot a 2 over 75 to win the 14-15 yr age group and will also get to play in Florida. Nice job Jeff and Mike and Good Luck!!!!!! 6/6/11 Eric Edmunds and the Bard Brothers lead Section Three back to a second place finish in the NYSPHSAA Championships. Derek shoots the best round of the day 72 and ties for 4th. Eric places 3rd Results NEWS release 6/2/11 2010 SDGA POY Derek Bard shoots one under(72-71-143) last Thursday and Saturday to lead six SDGA Jr's out of the nine players heading to the NYSPHSAA Championships 6-5,6-6-11 at Cornell's Trent Jone's GC. Along with Derek is his 13 year old brother Alec (79-83-162), 2009 SDGA POY Eric Edmunds(76-71-146), 2007 SDGA Boys POY Jeff Baldetti (78-75-153), 2010 Boys Inter-Dist team member John Clare (79-81-160), and Connor Salanger(80-82-162) making a return trip. Good Luck to all !!! and the rest of our Section Three team 5/17/11 2001 and 2002 SDGA Williamson cup team members David May and Dan McCarthy come home and secured two of the three spots at the USGA Open local qualifer at Bellveue Country Club. David's 3 under 68 was good for medal and Dan's 1 under 70 moves them on to the next sites.Jim Roy (father of Kevin Roy SDGA 2007 Jr Player of the year) got the third spot with an even par 71.
