| 9/1/09 2009 SDGA Scholarships have been awarded. click above 8/31/09 You can all start your calendar for next year check out next years dates for the Classic and Disrict . 8/31/09 Congratulations to Eric Edmunds and Derek Bard for winning the Jr Player of the Year and Boys Player of the Year awards and will receive those awards 8/25/09 at the SDGA Awards dinner after the Inter Club Championship at Cortland Country Club 8/27/09 Led by Luke Smith, SDGA juniors placed second in the inter district. SDGA boys, led by Derek Bard, also placed second. To see scores and results click above. 8/23/09 SDGA's Jr and Boys Inter-District teams will play Bristol Harbour CC against Rochester and Buffalo teams. Junior team members are Eric Edmunds, Ryan McGinnis, Erik Davis,Jake Merola,Luke Smith and Dan Dunnigan. Boys team member are Andy Leary, Derek Bard,Michael Engstrom,John Clare , Bryan Semple and Alec Brad. Todays contest will also determine the Boys player of the year with Andy Leary leading Derek Bard by 25 points with this event being the last chance to earn any points. 8/11/09 Eric Edmund shots 74-77 on Oak Hills CC west and east courses to lead the SDGA Jr Williamson team to tie for 8th. for all results go to Williamson page 8/9/09 After a short rain delay our Jr Williamson team got a practice round on Oak Hill East. The greens were fast but true. The bunkers deep and many. Fairways plush and narrow. If you hit it in the trees best a boogie, if in the rough around or over the greens good luck. Our Jr's played from the Back tees Very Long. We get to play the West today if the weather holds. There will be live scoring on Tuesday www.rdga.org Tournaments, Williamson Cup. 8/7/09 With his second place finish at the NYSGA Championships. Eric Edmunds locked up the SDGA Jr Player of the Year, Eric along with Jeff Baldetti, Ryan McGinnis and Erik Davis with represent the SDGA Juniors at the Williamson Cup on 8/10/09 at Oak Hill CC in Rochester. This event can be followed live by going to RDGA web site. With his fifth place at the NYSGA Boys Championships Derek Bard moves to within 25 points of Andy Leary for the SDGA Boys Player of the Year. With only the Inter -District event on Sunday 8-23-09 at Blue Heron CC left. 8/4/09 Eric Edmunds shoots a 2 over 73 today in the NYSGA JR Championship and is one stroke of the Lead. Jeff Baldetti has a 75 and is 3 shoots back. Click NYSGA link above to check out all the scores. 7/31/09 Eric Edmunds races out to 3 up after for 4 holes and Baldetti comes back to win the District Jr Championship 4 and 2 in a steady rain for the entire match. LaFayette Hills was in great shape and played long and fast for the conditions. Brandon Payne marched through the Boys Flight with another solid round of golf to beat John Clare 5 and 4. See results on District page 7/30/09 Edmunds comes back from two down to win 1up over Davis. Baldetti wins other Semi and will meet his follow high school team mate for an all Skaneateles Final. Brandon Payne continues to march through the Boys Flight with a 2&1 win over Byran Semple and now must meet LaFayette Hills member John Clare 4-2 over Gus Gosson in tomorrows Boys Final. For tee times and all results go to District page. 7/29/09 Eric Edmunds and Erik Davis win to matches today and will meet tomorrow at LaFayette Hills in the upper bracket District Jr Championship flight. Erik Davis 15 yr old newly crowned Club champ at LaFayette Hills will try to slow Edmands down, with some home cooking, Edmunds who is looking for his third Match play championship in a row. (2007 Boys, 2008 JR). Brandon Payne, using so home cooking,today upset medallist Andy Leary in the Boys District Champion Bracket at Greenview CC. For all today results go to District page 7/28/09 Eric Edmunds shoots his second round of sub par 69-70-139 to take #1 seed and medilist of the 2009 SDGA Jr District Championship. Andy Leary continues his solid play 78-78-156 to take Boys Medal and #1 seed. For Scores and Brackets for match play go to District page 7/17/09 Jeff Baldetti's charge from 16 strokes back, after first round, falls short by two strokes to place second. Eric Edmunds after a poor start of the final round of the 2009 Jr Classic and finding himself losing his six shot lead after hole 13 plays one over par for the final five holes for a two shot win. Andy Leary has a steady final round and maintains his 3 shot lead to win the 14 and under 2009 Jr Classic over Bryan Semple. For all results go to Classic page. Luke Smith has a hole in one on the 198 yard 13th hole using a 3 Iron during the final round at Oswego CC. 7/13/09 Baldetti keeps up his fine play with another one under par round 70 to move into second place after three rounds, but couldn't gain on Team member Eric Edmunds (70) who leads by six strokes going to round four at Oswego CC on Friday July 17th Andy Leary (77) was the only 14 and under to break 80 and takes a three stroke lead over Bryan Semple going to Fridays final round For all scores go to Classic page. 7/9/09 After an nightmarish opening front nine at Rogues Roost 2007 Boys Player of the Year returns to form and crafts a one under 70 at the challenging Links at Erie Village to roars back into contention mid way through the 2009 SDGA Classic lead by first round Medalist Ryan McGinnis and Eric Edmunds. Byran Semple's steady play has him leading the Boys (14 & unders). 7/8/09 Ryan McGinnis firers even round 71 at Rogues Roost East to take a one stroke lead over Tyler Kingsley (72) after round one. Applications must be in if you plan on playing. Remember that round will count for the second round of the classic if you play in the Syracuse Qualifier. Also the Jr Classic closing date is July 1st. Drumlins W will be used during those days for the Futures clinics and First Tee events. I'd like to thank Drumlins for the many years and events they have hosted for the SDGA Jr's. FYI: 7-9-09 NYSGA Syracuse Qlf and Second round of the 2009 Jr Classic will both be at The Links at Erie. When you sigh up for the Qualifying round you will do everything through the State Association Tee time etc for that day. Anyone who plays in the State Qlf and who enters the Jr Classic will us the State score for their classic score that day. Remember the State Championship will be held at Skaneateles CC.
